Aggregate

Aggregates: Aggregate is one of the three principal ingredients of concrete. It comes in different sizes and starts from sand and moving up to larger particles. These particles fit together to produce a dense material approx 70% of the volume of the concrete is aggregate. Aggregates are rock fragments extracted from fluvial deposits as in the case of natural sand and gravel or quarried from hard rock formations. The extracted materials are then processed by crushing, shaping, and screening, including washing where required, into final products. The processed aggregates can be combined with cementations materials in the manufacturing of concrete. Uses: Aggregates range in size from large boulders used as fill in large construction projects to finely-ground floursized particles used in paint, glass, ceramic, Cement, medicine, agricultural feed and soil conditioners, and many other industrial and household products.
